Ghost Expelling festival
Ghost expelling festival happens on the 24th day on the Tibetan new year, it is also called the day of offering food to Ghosts and then expelling them. Originally, it was a religious festival, often done the Esoteric shool of a monastery.
In Lhasa area, it was done and arranged mainly by the Lhangjie shool of Potala palace and the Ahba college of Tsepung monastery. In this festival, some Lhamas will be dressed in traditional solders unuform, and led by top preist of Ganden monastery to do religious actions, by this way, they thought Ghosts could be driven away, and show the invicible power of Buddhism.
