Day01 Home to Kunming by air
Arriving in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province. Local guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel, free time to you.
Day02 Kunming sightseeing
Visit Lunan Stone Forest which is about 125 kilometers to the east of Kunming, it is a Karst topography. Stroll in the stone forest, enjoy the miracles of nature.
Day03 Kunming to Lijiang by air
In the morning, fly to Lijiang. Upon arrival, local guide will meet you. Visit Lijiang old city and the Lijiang museum of Dongba culture.
Day04 Mt. Yulong sightseeing
Visit Yulong snow mountain which is about 15km to the north of this old town. Stroll in the Lijiang old town in the left time.
Day05 Lijiang to Shangri-la (220KM)
Drive to Shangri-la from Lijiang, on the way, visit the Tiger Jumping Gorge, and the “First Bend of the yangtse River” at Shigu town. In the afternoon arrive in Shangri-la, with an altitude of 3200m, most of the residents here are Tibetans.
Day06 Shangri-la sightseeing
In the morning, visit the Sumsanling Monastery, which was created in 1679 by the Fifth Dalai lama. It is considered as the most important monastery of Gelukpa - sect in Yunnan province. In the afternoon, walk to visit Dabao Si Monastery, Napahai reserved area.
Day07 Shangri-la to Daocheng (330KM)
On the way to Daocheng, visit Shangpi monastery (of Gelupa order )in Xiangcheng, the road is not good, but the scenary is full of charms. At Sangdui, visit Tsigong monastery of Kagyulpa order (built in 1144).
Day08 Daocheng to Yading nature reserve
Daocheng, like Xiangcheng, is an uncultivated place and full charms and miracles waiting for people to discover. The four orders of Tibetan Buddhism have their own affiliated monasteries. There are 3 nice snow peaks, one is 6032m, the other two are at same hight 5958m., upon arrival at Yading nature entrance, start trekking in, the trek will take about 4 hours.
Day09 Yading nature reserve to Daocheng
Visit Yading nature reserve. Hike back to the entrance, take jeep back to Daocheng, when arriving there, visit Xiongdeng monastery. Have a spring bathing at Chalarupu hot spring site.
Day10 Daocheng to Litang
On the way to Litang, driving through the Haizishan nature reserve, here are numerous rocks and stones like stars in the sky, they are all the remnants of the ancient movement of glaciers. When getting to Litang, visit the Litang monastery, which is biggest one in Ganzi area (of Gelupa order). Litang is very Tibetan, most of those people in streets wear their traditional dresses and have their hair decorated with tradtional Tibetan styles; Stroll in the streets to feel the so - called Western town with No.1 elevation, every year there is a grand horse racing festival starting on Aug. 1st.
Day11 Litang to Batang
Leaving for Batang. On the way, drive over Maoya grassland and before arriving in Batang, pay a visit to Tsopugou nature reserve to see the beautiful secenery and have a short trekking in, arriving in Batang in late afternoon or early evening.
Day12 Batang to Derong
Drive down along the Jinshajiang (river) valley, passing through the Xiayong nature reserve to arrive in Derong. The beauty along the valley is worth your cost, at least on adventuring.
Day13 Derong to Zhongdian (air to) Kunming
Visit the so called “First bend of yangtse river”, get back to Zhongdian.
Sending you to Zhongdian airport and you take flight to Kunming, change flight to your planned destination.
