Tibetan Festival packages

In minority nationality dwelling area of western China, the most wonderful time is celebrating the local festivals; the majority of ethnics in present western Sichuan province, Tibet A.R., Qinghai province and Northern Yunnan province are mainly Tibetans, who are dwelled in the vast plateau area in west China; here, sky-high mountains, deep mountain valleys, turbulent rivers and impressive zigzagging mountains roads, colorful local folklores are its main features, which attract numerous adventurers and tourists who loves the crystally blue sky, top mountain peaks, cool air and clean water, esp. the "pure" nature of local people

In Tibetan dwelling area, there are many festivals year round, but the most popular are Tibetan new year, Horse race festival and Shoton festival. each year, the date for festival is different by local calender.

In present Tibetan area, there are 4 horse race festivals popular among tourists, they are Nakchu horse race festival (in Tibet A.R.), Gyangtse horse race festival (in Tibet A.R.), Jyekundo (Yushu) horse race festival (July 25 to Aug. 1 every year held in souther Qinghai) and Litang horse race festival ( Aug. 1st to Aug. 7th every year held in west Sichuan)
