(Jul. 22) Day01: Xining to Qinghaihu Lake (3200M)

Today visit Famous Ta'er Monastery which is about 25 kilometers to the south of Xining and was the birthplace to the founder of Gelupa order; it also is one of the top 6 great monasteries t o Gelupa school (Yellow Hat sect). After it, drive west to Qinghai lake, the biggest lake in west China. Overnight by the lake.

(Jul. 23) Day02: Qinghai lake to Gonghe to Mardo (4200M)

After viewing the sunrise over the lake, drive south to Mardo, a small town newly built by the upper reach of Yellow river. This town is small but clean, about 70 kilometers further west to the town, there are two lakes, the yellow river flows through them.

(Jul. 24) Day03: Mardo to Yushu (Jyekundo)

Drive further south to Yushu, on the way there, we will drive over the Pass of BayanKhara mountain (4850M).

(Jul. 25) Day04: join Yushu horse race festival

Today is the first day of Yushu (Jyekundo) Horse race festival, join and participate in their celebrations. Every year, the festival starts on the same day - July 25th and last 5 days.

(Jul. 26) Day05: join in Yushu (Jyekundo) horse race festival

(Jul. 27) Day06: Yushu (Jyekundo) sightseeing

Today, we will go and do some visits in Jyekundo, visit Gyanha Mani Piles Hill, Jyekundo monastery (Jiegu monastery) and Banchen monastery at Litang village (about 30 kilometers to the west of Yushu town), the last visit of today is Temple to Wencheng Princess.

(July 28) D07: Yushu (Jyekundo) to Shiqu

After join the festival in the morning, we leave for Shiqu county in the late morning. Today we will drive 180 kilometers and visit Seashuel monastery, which belongs to Gelupa order. (overnight either at Seashuel monastery or at Shiqu town)

(July 29) D08: Shiqu to Ganzi

Meals service: B/L/D

Accommodation: Ganzi Khamba hotel or Golden Yak hotel

Drive 320 kilometers to reach Ganzi by passing Manigange. At Manigange, we visit Xinlu lake (Tsolha lake), when arriving in Ganzi, visit Ganzi monastery.

(July 30) D09: Ganzi to Litang

Accommodation: Litang hotel

Drive 285 kilometers to Litang from Ganzi city, we will pass by Xinlong county.
(If news goes that some parts of the road to Litang through Xinlong county is blocked for reason of mud slides, we will change our itinerary of today and of July 30th)

(July 31) D10: Litang sightseeing

While in Litang, visit Litang monastery.

(Aug.01) D11: Litang horse race Day

Join the Litang Horse Racing festival celebration. Litang horse race festival begins on August 1st officially.

(Aug.02) D12: Litang horse race festival

(Aug. 03) D13: Litang to Xinduqiao

Drive 205 kilometers to Xinduqiao town by driving through Yajiang county. Xinduqiao is famous for its unique sunset view, and it is viewed as the paradise of Photographors; enjoying your time today.

(Aug.04) D14: Xinduqiao to kangding to Chengdu

Accommodation: Wenjun Mansion or same level

Drive passing kangding city and through the Erlangshan Tunnel to get back to Chengdu.

(Aug. 05) D15: Chengdu to Leshan Big Buddha, then take flight to your planned next destination

In the early morning, drive you about 130 kilometers to the south of Chengdu downtown area to visit the famous Leshan Big Buddha statue; after that, drive back to Chengdu and send you to Chengdu airport to take flight to your planned destination.
