D01: Xining to Mardo

D02: Mardo to Yushu (Jyekundo)

Visit Xiewu monastery and Dangkha monastery before reach Jyekundo (Yushu).

D03: Join in the festival

Join in the festival – 2010 Jyekundo horse race festival, one of the grandest horse race festival in Tibetan plateau (the other two are respectively: Naqu horse race at Naqu in Tibet, Litang Horse race at Litang in Sichuan).

D06: Yushu (Jyekundo) to Shiqu to Dzochen monastery

Drive around 370 kilometers to reach Dzochen monastery, stay overnight there; on the way, do tour to visit Seashuel monastery (Sexu temple) at Shiqu.

D07: Dzochen monastery to Manigange to Derge

Drive around 180 kilometers to get to Derge; on the way, enjoy the natural beauty of Yilhuntsola (Xinlu lake) at Manigange; after Manigange, climb up to Tsolha mountain pass (5050 meters) and go further down to Derge. Visit Derge printing house at Derge in the afternoon.

D08: Derge to Baiyu (Paryuel)

Drive from Derge to Baiyu town, visit Gatuo monastery (Kathok monastery) at Hepo village.

D09: Baiyu to Ganzi

Today, visit Baiyu monastery in the morning, after that, drive around 240 kilometers to Ganzi; have lunch at Changtai village.

D10: Ganzi to Luhuo

In the morning, visit Ganzi monastery; after lunch, drive 100 kilometers to Luhuo, and visit Luhuo Shouling momastery (Lingque monastery）.

D11: Luhuo to Tagong to Kangding

Today, drive to Tagong, visit Tagong monastery and Hepin Fahui. Stay overnight at Kangding; tonight, you have a banquet and celebrate this tour.

D12: Kangding to Leshan

Drive to Leshan, visit Leshan big Buddha statue (world’s hightest sitting Buddha statue).

D13: Leshan to Chengdu

Around 2.5 hours drive back to Chengdu; have a local big lunch. In mid afternoon or late evening, you go to your next destination by air or by train subject to your plan.
