On the way, you can enjoy the heart - beating highland view along the Yalu Zangbu river (the longest river in Tibet, the lower reach in India is called Brham Putra river); in the afternoon, you are free for relaxing and more Oxygen. Day02 (Aug. 8th): Lhasa sightseeingMeals: B/L/D Hotel: 3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel or same level In the morning, visit the grand - looking Potala Palace, which was built in the 7th century for the King. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang temple and stroll in the famous local bazaar - Parkhor street. Day03 (Aug. 9th): Lhasa to NakchuMeals: B/L/D Hotel: Nakchu Xinyuan Hotel or same level Drive north to Nakchu to be ready for the opening ceremony at next day. On the way, enjoy the highland view. Day04 (Aug. 10th): join Nakchu horse race festivalMeals: B/L/D Hotel: Nakchu Xinyuan Hotel or same level Today is the first day of Nakchu horse race festival, the grand opening ceremony will be held in the morning, go and participate in the opening ceremony and the grand celebrations. Day05 (Aug. 11th): Join the grand festivalMeals: B/L/D Hotel: Nakchu Xinyuan Hotel or same level Join the horse race festival to see how people celebrate their traditional festival. Day06 (Aug. 12th): Nakchu to Namtso lakeMeals: B/L/D Hotel: guesthouse by lake Today, join in the grand meeting in the morning; after having lunch at Nakchu city, drive southward to Namtso lake, which is the biggest and second holiest lake in Tibet (the first holiest lake is MarpunYongtso in Naghri ). The elevation of the lake is 4769 meters. Day07 (Aug. 13th): Namtso Lake to LhasaMeals: B/L/D Hotel: 3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel or same level Leave Namtso, drive back to Lhasa, arrive in Lhasa city late of the day. on the way, visit Chupu monastery at Chupu valley, which is about 65 kilometers to the northwest of Lhasa city. Day08 (Aug. 14th): Lhasa sightseeingMeals: B/L/D Hotel: 3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel or same level Today, visit Tsepung monastery and Sera monastery, these two monasteries are the first two monasteries of Gelupa order (the first monstery built by Gelupa is Ganden monastery). Day09 (Aug. 15th) Lhasa to Gyangtse to ShigatseMeals service: B/L Driving past the Gangbala pass(4800m), view the Yangdrok lake, then down by the old road to Gyangtse, visit the Karuola glacier, the Perkhor monastery in Gyangtse town. Arrive at Shigatse in the late afternoon. Day10 (Aug. 16th) Shigatse to LhasaMeals service: B/L Visit Tashilunpo monastery, which is the biggest monastery in rear Tibet, and the permanent residence for Panchan Lhama. Inside are some stupas for the passed Panchan lhamas, and a 30 - metre high copper cast Future Buddha, see the local bazaar market. Then drive back to Lhasa through the valley of Yalu Zangbu river. When arrive in Lhasa, visit Tibetan Carpet Factory. Day11 (Aug. 17th): Lhasa to your destination by airMeals: B Hotel: N/A Taking morning flight to leave Lhasa for your next tour destination.
