Day01 Home to Beijing

Flight arriving at Beijing, the exciting capital of the Oriental empire, guide will meet you and transfer you to the booked hotel.

Day02 Beijing sightseeing

Beginning you exploration of the ancient capital with the visit to Tian'anmen Square, then visit the imposing Forbidden City and the Summer palace.

Day03 Beijing sightseeing

Today we go and have a stroll on the top of the greatest man - work of the ancient - the Great Wall which winds its way 3000 miles towards the west, in the afternoon, you will visit Ding Ling - one of the 13 tombs of the passed Ming dynasty emperors.

Day04 Beijing to Chengdu by air

Take flight to Chengdu. Upon your arrival, guide will meet you and visit the world treasure animals - Giant Pandas in the Chengdu Panda research centre for breeding. Early August is the baby born season for Giant Pandas.

Day05 Chengdu to Leshan (168KM)

In the morning, drive to Leshan to view the biggest Buddha statue in the world - the Leshan giant Buddha which carved out of a mountain, and also you can see the replica of the Bamiyang Bhudda, the original one had been destroyed by Taliban soldiers. Both of the statue are standing just by the Qingyi river.

Day06 Leshan to Khangding (375KM)

Today we drive to Khangding city from Chengdu in the early morning. Khangding is the capital of Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture which in history was the eastern end of the Salt & Tea trading business between Tibetans in Tibet and Chinese Hans, a river flows through it with the rapid water sounding in your ears. Visit Anjue monastery today.

Day07 Khangding to Litang (300KM)

After leaving Khangding, to your left is the highest mountain in Sichuan - Mt. Gongga (7556m). In Litang, visit the Litang monastery which once the residence for 7th Dalai Lhama when he was chosen, for at that time Tibet was in chaos of wars, and also it is the most famous one in world and the biggest one in Sichuan.

Day08 Litang to Daocheng to Riwa (248KM)

Early leaving Litang for Riwa, which is only 30KM away from Yading nature. You can take wonderful photos in Haizi mountains to the south of Litang. Haizi mountains are the remains of the movement of ancient glaciers, Haizi was shaped out of the melted glaciers.

Day09 Riwa to Yading to Riwa (60KM)

Drive 30KM to Yading nature. Trekking into valley to see 3 very beautiful snow mountains, the most famous and beautiful one is the Mt. Yangmaiyong (5005m), snow covered all year round. By historical recordings, this place is the place once visit by Luoke, an American in 1930s - named Shangri - la. Stay over night at Riwa.

Day10 Daocheng to Xiangcheng (220KM)

Drive to Xiangcheng.

Day11 Xiangcheng to Shangri-la (Zhongdian) (206KM)

Visit Songzhanlin monastery and Napa hai (the nickname of Sea), stroll aroud in the rest time of the day.

Day12 Shangri-la to Lijiang (180KM)

Drive to Lijiang in the morning. On the way, visit the famouse Tiger Jumpping Gorge.

Day13 Lijiang sightseeing

Upon arrival there, visit the Old town and it traditional buildings. This old town was originally built in the middle of 13th century when the king Kublai khan led his army into Yunnan, till now it has a history of more than 800 years.

Day14 Lijiang to Dali (178KM)

In the morning, visit the Yulong snow mountain. Its elevation is 5596m. Then drive to Dali.

Day15 Dali to Kunming by train (356KM)

Stroll in the peaceful streets and visit the old building in Dali town and Dali three Pagodas, Butterfly Pull, Mt. Cangshan and Erhai (a small lake). At night, take train (soft sleeper berth) to Kunming.

Day16 Kunming to Stone forest to Kunming

Arrive in Kunming in the morning, the capital of Yunnan province. Go and visit the stone forest.

Day17 Kunming to Home
