Day01: Fly to Lhasa ----------------------L -------------------3* Shangbala Hotel
Taking morning flight into Tibet, upon your arrival, local guide will meet you and transfer you
to Mindrok monastery, 50 kilometers to the east of Lhasa airport in Zhalang county. Mindrok monastery is located in a flat area and surrounded with peaceful peasants' houses and lush trees, the pretty scenery along the unpaved road is so beautiful and impressive that you will dream one day you could live there for your leisure time. Mondrok belongs to Nyingmapa order (the Red Hat order among the 5 Tibet Buddhism schools) and is famous for its rituals, teachings and studied on literature, astranaumy and Tibetan pharmacology. In the late afternoon, drive to Lhasa.
Day02: Lhasa sightseeing ----------B/L -------------------3* Shangbala Hotel
In the morning, visit the grand - looking Potala Palace, which was built in the 7th century for the King. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang temple and stroll in the famous local bazaar - Parkhor street.
Day03: Lhasa sightseeing ----------B/L -------------------3* Shigatse Hotel
Visit Tsepung monastery, which is the biggest monastery in Tibet and was once said holding 10,000 lamas. After lunch, visit Sera monastery in the north part of Lhasa city, it as well as the Drepun monastery and Ganden monastery, are the first three Gelupa monasteries built in the first 20 years of early 15th century. After visit to Sera, go and visit Tibet museum.
Day04: Lhasa to Namtso Lake ------B/L ------------------Lakeside Guesthouse (no toilet)
Drive to Namtso Lake from Lhasa city in the morning. On the way, pay a visit the HOME monastery of Gelupa order - Ganden monastery which belongs to Gelupa, the Yellow Hat sect, one of the 5 Tibetan Buddhism classes. When arriving Namtso Lake (245km to the north of Lhasa), enjoying the glory of sunset over the lake. By the lake, you can view the peak of Nyianchentangula (7162m).
Day05: Namtso Lake to Lhasa ------B/L ------------------3* Shangbala Hotel
In the morning, enjoying the sunrise over the lake. Then, drive back to Lhasa. On the way, visit Reting monastery. Reting monastery belongs to Gardangpa (Kardanpa) established by Atisha, an enlightened monk from ancient India via Gar (the far west of Tibet bordering Kirshimir). Gardangpa didn't get involved into politics but it impacted greatly the Gelupa order in history and was merged into Gelupa after the rise of the latter. The natural beauty along this road and in the valley is impressive, the peace of life there will beat your busy hearts, try there! In middle afternoon, back to Lhasa city, you are free to make a crazy shopping and last feel over this old highland holy city.
Day06: Lhasa to your destination ---- B
Taking morning flight to leave Tibet for your next destination.
End of the personalised Tibet religious pilgrim trip; if you do not mind our arranging your time tight, we can extend your tour inside Tibet on the 6th day morning to visit the famous Tsigongti monastery, which is about 160 kilometers to the north of Lhasa city.
