This highland travel is specially designed for those who have relatively enough time and wish to see the visits in and around Lhasa city and the wild views in the northern Tibet and those along the Nepal -- China Friendship highway. While travelling along ,the monasteries are only part of the reasons fro you to select, the more of the fun and motivatives lies to feel Tibet and experience its culture and folkways. Since we have connect many scenic spots together, it will need more time and a longer duration in Tibet. Because of the living conditions in Tibet and its hard traffic, you should lower your expectation on food service and lodging conditions when out of big cities such as Lhasa and Shigatse.

Day01: Chengdu to Lhasa ---------------L ----------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel

Taking morning flight into Tibet, upon your arrival, local guide will meet you and transfer you to Lhasa. On the way, you can enjoy the heart - beating highland view along the Yalu Zangbu river (the longest river in Tibet, the lower reach in India is called Brham Putra river); in the afternoon, you are free for relax and more Oxygen.

Day02: Lhasa sightseeing -------------B/L ----------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel

In the morning, visit the grand - looking Potala Palace, which was built in the 7th century for the King. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang temple and stroll in the famous local bazaar - Parkhor street.

Day03: Lhasa sightseeing -------------B/L ----------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel

Visit Tsepung monastery which is the biggest monastery in Tibet. Then visit Sera monastery and Norbulingka which can give you deep impression of Tibet arts and civilization.

Day04: Lhasa to Namtso Lake -------B/L ------------Lakeside Guesthouse (no toilet)

Drive about 5 hours to Namtso Lake (245km to the north of Lhasa). On the way, drive into a valley to visit the Home monastery of Karma Kargyuelpa (The White Hat) -- Chupu monastery. After arriving the lake, enjoy the glory of sunset over it. By the lake, you will view the peak of Nyianchentangula (7162m).

Day05: Namtso Lake to Shigatse ----B/L -------------3* Shigatse Hotel or Shandong Hotel

Enjoy the sunrise beside the lake, then drive to Shigatse city.

Day06: Shigatse to Lhatse  -----------B/L --------------Local guesthouse (shared toilet)

In the morning, at the first time of the day, visit Tashilunpo monastery, which is the biggest monastery in rear Tibet, and the permanent residence for Panchan Lhama. Inside are some stupas for the passed Panchan lhamas, and a 30 - metre high copper cast Future Buddha; then drive along the Tibet - Nepal friendship highway westwards to Lhatse town. Before arriving, visit and touch the history of Tibet in 13th and early 14th century - the once capital of Tibet: Sakya monastery (the home monastery of Sakya - pa sect).

Day07: Lhatse to Tingri to Mt. Everest  ----B/L------ Rongbuk Guesthouse

Leaving Lhatse early and pass the town - Tingri and the Lulu checkpoint to get to Mt. Everest. Between the diversion point (4km to the west of Luluchech point)of the highway and the Base camp is a high pass (5125m, named zhegula pass), here you can see 4 famous mountains of the world - Mt. Everest (8848.13m), Mt. Makaru (8463m), Mt. Luotze (8516m) and Mt. Qowowuyag (8201).

Day08: Mt. Everest to Lhatse to Shigatse ------ B/L ------ 3* Shigatse hotel or Shandong Hotel

After viewing the sunrise over Mt. Everest, leaving for Shigatse following the same road back, on the back, you will pass Tingri, Lhatse and Sakya bridge. Today, there are no visits arrangement, you just review the things you have seen one day ago. In the late afternoon, get to Shigatse city.

Day09: Shigatse to Gyangtse to Lhasa -----------B/L -----3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel

In the morning, drive to Gyangtse town, visit the Karuola glacier and the Perkhor monastery in Gyangtse town. Past the Gangbala pass(4800m), view the Yangdrok lake. In the late afternoon, arrive at Lhasa city.

Day10: Lhasa to Chengdu

Take flight to connect your next stop.

End of the 10 days vacation to Tibet, which had enables you tour Lhasa,Shigatse, Mt. Everest and Gyangtse kumbum monastery.
