Kawa Karpo (6740m) also called Prince Snow Mt. is seated at the west end of the White Horse Snow Mountain in southern Kham area. The local Tibetans regard it as a Holy Mountain. Each year in autumn, the Tibetan people come from Kham area and near gathering here for pilgrimage the Prince Snow Mountain. Every year in autumn, the Tibetans from all Kham area will take a pilgrimage (Kora) trekking around the holy mountain, to worship the prince, to pray for good future. To many Tibetans, this pilgrimage is one of the most important thing in their life, because they believe, trekking once they can get a lifetime's peace and safe, if they can make this trekking for 3 times in this life, then they can go to the paradise after this life. This pilgrim trekking has more than 600 years history, the scenery on the way is breathtakingly beautiful, the ecology system is well preserved on the 3 parallel rivers area ( Yangtze- Mekong- Nu-Jiang), world heritage since 2003.

Compare with Trek outer pilgrimage circuit of Kawa Kapo, Trek inner pilgrimage is soft one .From the Mekong gorges, we need to climb over 3860m to reach Yubeng village, a Tibetan village friendly and hospitable. From Yubeng village will trek to pilgrimage XiaoNong (Metsomo Base camp), Shengpu.

A complete view of this area, probably one of the most attractive for trekking all over China, without difficulties, and offering a rich nature!

Day01: arrives at Kunming, transfer to hotel. Stays in Kunming hotel

Day02: Kunming: Stone forest, flower-and-bird market. Stays in Kunming hotel

Day03: Kunming - Dali: Dali three pagoda temples, Dali old city. hotel

Day04: Dali - Lijiang: Visit Erhai by boat; Lijiang old city. hotel

Day05: Lijiang - stone drum - tiger Leaping Gorge - Zhongdian:
visit first Bend of Yangtze River; tiger Leaping Gorge. Hotel

Day06: Day trip in ZhongDian , Songzanlin Monastery, the largest monastery in Yunnan, local village. hotel

Day07: ZhongDian bus DeQing 7.5hours , On the way to Deqin ,we will visit Dongzhulin Monastery, pass over Baima Snow Mountain. At 4,200 m, it is one of the most important bio-diversity sites for the Great Rivers Project sponsored by the Nature Conservancy. hotel

Day08: DeQing to Xidang ,Early in the morning we will take a two-hour drive alongside the Mekong River to the trailhead. bus back to ZhongDian trekking 4.5hours Rent horse to carry equipment camping in Xidang hot spring

Day09: DeQing to YuBeng ,6hours trek with horse , Today's hike will be strenuous - we will climb from 2,500 m to over 3,500 m at the pass - but will bring you through beautiful, pristine alpine forest. After a picnic at the summit (where there may still be snow in early spring), we will descend to the isolated village of Yubeng. We will spend the night in a small lodge. guest house

Day10: YuBeng to base camp ,Back to YuBeng , trek 7.5hours ,we'll wake up to a clear view of the Mt. Kawagebo glacier. go hiking from yubeng to base camp, go crossing the virgin forest ,enjoying sight of ice-cape ,ice-lake and etc, encamping in base camp. guest house

Day11: YuBeng to ShengPu back to YuBeng , trek 6.5hours. After breakfast we will hike to the Shengpu, from which Yubeng's name originated. Buddhists on a pilgrimage to the area circumambulate the waterfall 13 times with the belief that this act will erase all sins from this life. In the early afternoon we'll head back to the village lodge, visiting sacred sites along the way. guest house

Day12: YuBeng to NiNong with porters and horses ,trek 6 hours, along with a gorge down to beside of Langcang (Mekong) river . camp

Day13: NiNong to YunLin with porters and horses , trek 6 hours, along with Langcang(Mekong) river, cross Jiabi and Guoniang Tibet village ,first bend of Langcang river to YunLin town. guest house

Day14: YunLin bus to WeiXi county, today will be a long day, drive near 8 hours,on the way visit Ci zhong French church ,yuanmen and some Tibetan village ,then arrival Weixi LiShu minority outonomy county. hotel

Day15: WeiXi bus back to LiJiang ,drive 6.5 hours ,On the way ,we will visit First bend of Yangtze, shigu town . hotel

Day16: Visit around LiJiang by bike, half hour ride to BaiSha village ,visit mural and Doctor he ,then 20Min to YuFeng temple, picnic near the Naxi village then back to LiJiang. hotel

Day17: Lijiang flight back to kunming end the trip
